Patrick Hanaway, MD
Patrick Hanaway, MD: Patrick Hanaway, M.D. is a board-certified family physician who has lectured extensively on the clinical application of nutrition and genomics; particularly in the areas of digestion, oxidative stress, inflammation, hormone metabolism, and achieving long-term wellness. Dr. Hanaway co-founded 'Family to Family: Your Home for Whole Family Health' in Asheville, NC and is the Chief Medical Officer of Genova Diagnostics. 

Mark Houston, MDMark Houston, MD: Dr. Houston is clinical professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, TN and the author of What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Hypertension. He specializes in hypertension, lipid disorders, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, nutrition, clinical age management and general internal medicine. Dr. Houston maintains an active clinical and research practice.

Gary MalkinGary Malkin: Gary Malkin is an award-winning composer/producer, dedicated to making a difference in the world by creating music that inspires the heart and catalyzes individual and societal healing. A performer, public speaker, and artistic director for conferences nationwide, Malkin is passionate about using the arts, and specifically music, as a strategic intervention for nearly any project. Malkin observes that sharing rigorous cognitive information in a setting that contains music allows for greater absorption of that information. Music helps us access all dimensions of ourselves, allowing new information to permeate not just our minds, but our hearts and spirits as well.

Susan Chernak McElroySusan Chernak McElroy: Author of many books, including Animals as Teachers and Healers, Susan McElroy came to her work with animals through her own "terminal" cancer diagnosis many years ago. Her work with the natural world is one element of the relationship of healing that will complement the clinical material presented at the conference and her presentation style will have you in stitches.

Gladys McGarey, MDGladys McGarey, MD: Gladys Taylor McGarey, M.D., M.D. (H), has been a family physician for more than fifty years.  She is board certified in Holistic and Integrated Medicine and is internationally known for her pioneering work in holistic medicine, natural birthing and the physician-patient partnership. She is the author of three books.

Joe Pizzorno, NDJoe Pizzorno, ND: A physician, educator, researcher and expert spokesperson, Dr. Pizzorno is founding president of Bastyr University, editor of Integrative Medicine: A Clinician's Journal; and President of SaluGenecists, Inc. He has been licensed as a naturopathic physician in Washington State since 1975.

Evelyn Rysdyk and C. Allie Knowlton, MSW, LCSW, DCSWEvelyn Rysdyk and C. Allie Knowlton, MSW, LCSW, DCSW: Evelyn Rysdyk and C. Allie Knowlton, MSW, LCSW, DCSW are shamanic practitioners who work together as Spirit Passages. Since 1991, Allie and Evelyn have taught workshops across the United States and Canada and have helped hundreds of people referred to them by doctors, psychotherapists, and other healthcare professionals. Allie is a psychotherapist, and Evelyn is a Sacred Artist and the author of the book Modern Shamanic Living.

Scott Shannon, MDScott Shannon, MD: Scott Shannon, MD has been instrumental in the creation of a holistic and integrative perspective in psychiatry for many years. Scott joined the American Holistic Medical Association in 1978 as a founding member and served as President from 2000-2001. Rodale Press released Please Don't Label My Child in 2007. Recently, Scott started the country’s first academically based Integrative Clinic in Child Psychiatry at the University of Colorado-Children’s Hospital in Denver where he works as Assistant Clinical Professor.

Martha Stark, MDMartha Stark, MD: Martha Stark, M.D., a graduate of Harvard Medical School and the Boston Psychoanalytic Institute, is an adult and child psychiatrist/psychoanalyst in private practice in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Stark is the author of three award-winning books on psychoanalytic theory and technique, all of which are used at many psychoanalytic training institutes around the country.
