True North is a 501(c)(3) non-profit doing medical research. We
are using two primary research tools. The DYNA SF 36, a validated
computer adaptive, health assessment survey will be used in selected
research. Along with the DYNA, the medical symptoms questionnaire
(MSQ) will be used to assess patient health and progress. The
MSQ is in the process of being validated as a publishable and
reliable research tool.

DYNA conditions study
This study uses the DYNA SF-36 tool to track the progress of patients with six specific diagnoses: Anxiety, Depression, GI tract symptoms, Chronic Fatigue syndrome, Hormone Imbalance, Pain, First Line Therapy, and Life Coaching. Each time a patient is seen, the patient will be asked to take a DYNA. Over a period of six months, data will accrue as patients continue treatment. The results will be used to inform interventions, educate and motivate clients and providers.

S-PEP
This purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of having a clear Performance Excellence policy and procedure on staff performance, retention, and productivity. True North’s different model of governance is expected to engender more engagement in center activities. We therefore expect to see a correlation between Circle member S-PEP engagement and performance as compared with Circle members in similar roles who have not engaged in S-PEP.
